About Riding Singletrack
Seems like every kid gets a bike and a chance for freedom when they’re young, say around five years old.
My second chance with bikes started in college, when I bought my first ‘real’ bike as an adult, to ride to classes, and maybe head out for a recreational ride here and there. That quickly changed, I became obsessed. I was not just riding to classes, but got sucked into the bike culture in town. I was racing, training, commuting, and wrenching on my bikes.
Now that I’ve got a family and other time sucking activities (i.e. work, relaxing, beer drinking) I don’t put aside as much time for riding, but its still one of the most defining parts of my life.
